Beyond the Sea by Melissa Bailey - book review

I didn't mean to buy this book, I haven't heard anything about it before I bought it either but I wish I didn't. It was an impulse buy, I was looking for a book I read when I was 14 when I found this one. All I remembered about it was that it was a thriller and it had a lighthouse on the cover somewhere. Unfortunately, I didn't find the book I was looking for, I'm not even sure if it had a lighthouse on the cover anymore, but while searching for it I found other books that seemed like they would be a good read.  Beyond the sea was one of those books.  "A year on, and struggling to cope, Freya returns to the lighthouse keeper's cottage on a remote Hebridean island, where she and her family spent so many happy times  Haunted by visions of her old life, Freya's dreams are dark and disturbed. Holding Up The Universe has shaken me to the core. It was sitting on my shelf for months until I finally picked it up a few days ago and I'm so glad I did. But Jack's swaggering confidence is hiding a secret he must keep at all costs.  Be charming. Be hilarious. Don't get too close to anyone. Then Jack meets Libby. And their worlds change.  Because sometimes when you meet someone, the whole universe just comes into focus. " From the first page, I was dragged in. Even tho

I'm almost 20 and I really like to write. I'm not sure if I'm any good at it but I guess it's up to you to judge.  I write everything ... literally. Some things are easier to write than others but I try it all. From stories to scripts and poetry, mainly because of uni assignments but sometimes because I want to see if I'm any good at other stuff. This blog will be mainly my writing, so prepare yourself for a lot of really bad poetry and stories that make Happy Tree Friends look like the mildest and the most child-friendly cartoon out there. For some reason even though I barely read horror and films of that genre always manage to scare the hell out of me... still most of the stories I write end up being gory and scary as hell.  I read a lot ... hence the bookstagram so I will also
